HRM-Pro+ data reported in Strength activity missing lots of data

I use the 265 with the HRM-Pro+. I got to the gym, put the strap on, start a strength activity on the watch, put the watch into my locker, When I've done working out, I stop the activity on my watch, and download HR data. It completes it successfully, When when going into the activity, it's lacking a LOT of data.

It's not not zone'd it all correctly and thrown the calories away. The HR data reported is not accurate/complete.

However, when I use the 265 with the strap together, the data is more 'complete'? Not sure what's going on here. As I understand I can use the strap alone and then download the data when I'm done and it should work fine.

    have no idea but interesting case, your procedure looks sound to me

    is the hrm also connected with Garmin Connect Mobile ?

    ever seen double workouts in Garmin Connect after downloading hr data ?

    • caused by : downloading hr data after the activity already was synced with Garmin Connect Mobile

    do a watch restart by press and hold the light button until the screen goes dark

    • sync watch before doing this

    care posting the fit files from the two workouts so we can have a look at the downloaded hr data

    • zip the fit files and drag&drop them on a followup post
    • or provide a link to them on a cloud storage
    • or provide them via private message
    it's lacking a LOT of data.
    •  regarding missing respiration rate could be an indicator something is going on
    • have no experience if respiration data could be derived from the downloaded hr data or not

    Yes the HRM is also connected to Garmin Connect Mobile.
    I've never seen double wortkouts after HR data download.

    I think I already did a restart to the watch before a workout when I though there is an issue... same thing happened on my next workout.

    to me it looks like a bug in the strength app (Garmin forgot to implement recalc of the summary data (stats))

    • are you using the original strength app or an adapted copy of it ?

    with downloaded hr data the activity has the same summary data (stats) as without strap hr data Shrug

    • so, no update of the summary data (stats) after hr download in the strength app

    we could ask if other users have a similar experience ?

    suggest you contact Garmin Support by phone or chat and tell them 'they' have a problem Wink

    I guess it is the same story for the missing respiration data

    • all R-R data is present in the downloaded hr data attached to the fit file
