Forerunner 265 Series Software Version 4.19 - vs Forerunner 965

In the top of the post named:

Forerunner 265 Series Software Version 4.19 posted at forums.garmin.com/.../forerunner-265-series-software-version-4-19, Garmin-Kevin says [emphasis mine]:

I know there's a lot of overlap with the 965 codebase.

Is the info there for the 965 as stated or 265?

The latest update is 16.17 now.

That's a huge jump from 4.19. Are there really significant updates ?

I thought I have missed significant updates.
