FEATURE: Disable Low Battery Alert on F265

On my F265 starting at around 20% of battery I do get constant alerts if I want to enable battery save mode. That is rather early in my oppinion, given the fact that I can still use the watch easily more than a day from now on - even with a training session.

1. It does not disappear after some time -  I have to react to this alert with yes/no
2. I cannot set manually a different treshold, e.g. 5%
3. I cannot disable it completely - which I would prefer

I find it very annoying, and it leads to the fact that I start recharging the watch already at 30%, which is kind of silly

Searching for a possible setting - I might be missing - it appears that at least some Fenix watches do have the possibility to switch off this alert completely

SUGGESTION: Include on F265/F965 an option within Power Manager: Low Battery Alert - yes/no

  • If this is to be added, it may as well be added with a selectable threshold, vs the current 20% and proposed addition of 0%.

Glad you raised it here for discussion, but until recently Garmin wasn't the most proactive about monitoring these forums.

Have you raised it via the idea submission form (search about for it, I don't have it to hand)?

  • Thanks for your answer, and your helpful additions to my topic

Indeed, there is a possibility to submit ideas to Garmin: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/ideas/

And I sent this request to Garmin via this page, incorporating also your suggestion!

  • I got this alert at 77% battery, after i declined it happened 10 minutes later

  • I have got this alert too at that high level. I think there is a glitch causing the cpu to consume a lot of energy. i.e. working at 100% CPU.
When this happens I restart the watch. The alert do not come back after that.

This started happening after the last firmware update.

One day my battery was at 30% and I did get the energy save notice, that I did ignore. A few hours later the battery was dead empty.
