Glare and reflection of 265 significantly worse than 965

I have a 265 and yes it has some reflection, but honestly, in real life I never notice it. I usually don't use it in full sunshine, though - and never will.

On the other hand, I like that is kind of a domed crystal and I used to have watches with domed glass, so I really like the overall look of the glass.

Btw, do you really feel the difference in size (i.e., when sleeping)? Because in paper, there are not that much of a difference. I am asking, because I think about the switch.

Agree the size difference sounds small on paper, but it truly feels and looks much more significant while wearing. 

Thanks, exactly that I was afraid of. Aesthetically, I like the 265 more, while missing the map a bit - but at this point I can live without that.

Having had a 265 whilst awaiting the 965 , I don't find the 965 to large at all. in fact if you look at the measurement incl the strap mounts , its much closer to the 265 than one imagines as the strap mounts angle differently given the larger circumference (you can see that quite clearly on the photos above also.). Definitely i noticed less glare with the 965 which is due to the different glass type and also the way the angle of the glass and screen are near the edges.

I had the exact same thoughts when I first saw both watched in several reviews. Still I ended up with the 265 for mainly 2 reasons:

1. After couple of hours you wont really "see" the glare anymore. Its a thing once you have it next to a 965, otherwise im not bothered at all anymore.

2. Despite the size of the 965 being too big for me, I think the 265 is the way better deal! I don't use maps at all so there's nothing that I really need on the 965, so why paying that much more? Battery Life on the 965 is nice, but not worth that much to me. 

Correct , they use different version of the glass, the 965 being less reflective.

According to the specs page on Garmin, the 965 uses Corning Gorilla Glass 3 DX, while 265 does not have the DX version. The DX version is anti-reflective and more scratch-resistant.
