Recording HR when using FR265 and Edge 1040 with chest strap

What is the right way of recording HR when using two devices, FR265 and Edge 1040 device with chest strap?

Both devices are updated to latest software and I don't see option to enable/disable Physio True Up. My training load seems to sync fine, so I believe that Physio True Up has been turned on automatically. I also used GCWeb to set my Edge as primary training device and FR265 as primary wearable.

Here is my issue:

If I wear FR265 without recording activity and record activity with Edge 1040, FR265 will record much lower HR during activity. Both devices are connected to HR strap, but FR265 doesn't care in most cases. I can go to settings on FR265 and manually connect strap sensor (it has been paired few days ago). Next, I go to HR glance, watch will display the same HR as Edge. However, after few seconds, watch will go back to watch face and it will display low HR on watch face again, until I go back to HR glance. Obviously, it makes no sense to keep going back to HR glance, just to have HR recorded correctly.

I tried taking off the watch and just recording a ride with Edge. Ride got recorded and transferred, my increased training load and ride itself are both shown on the watch, but there is a hole in a daily HR graph on the watch/GCM/GCW and my max HR for that day is below 100, even if I had it higher during the ride. When I open the ride on the watch itself or GCM/GCW, the proper HR is displayed for the ride.

One of the consequences is that my intensity minutes are different on watch / Edge
