Regarding my question about ANY key-press unlocking the FR265 and FR965

I posted this question as a bug:

https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/running-multisport/f/forerunner-265-series/331013/watch-unlocks-when-any-key-is-held-down---any-way-to-disable-this-behavior

The admin locked the thread, saying it's not a bug, but a "new feature".

THIS thread is a request to the Garmin community at large - how do people feel about Garmin's decision to allow ANY key press to unlock a device, as opposed to the lock/unlock key combination the user has set?

Using ANY key to unlock means that the device WILL unlock itself when in use in, eg. skiing (because the buttons knock against gloves and jacket cuffs) - this has happened OVER AND OVER to me when this was the default behavior in the FR745 and Epix.  Garmin changed this to work properly in those models - that is, you have to use the same lock/unlock key combination to unlock the device.

Am I crazy thinking that changing this behavior in the newer models so that ANY key unlocks the device is a REALLY BAD IDEA?

How can anybody who has ever used these watches think this is a good design change?

Opinions?
