Daytime "nap" replacing prior nights sleep

Slept from 9:42pm to 6:33am.  In the morning the sleep showed correctly on the watch and on Garmin Connect,  Then I took watched tv on the couch during the morning and the watch detected i took a nap from 8:46-11:49.  It translated that as 2h 0min of sleep with a score of 0 on the watch.  The prior nights sleep is gone from the watch.  Interestingly I see something different on Connect mobile vs Connect desktop.  On mobile, I still see 8:51 of sleep on the dashboard but when I drill into the graphical view it reports only the 2h 47min nap on the 7 day view and on the 1 day view it says "no sleep data".  On desktop, I also see 8:51 of sleep with the original sleep stages, but a sleep score of 32 (vs the 70 it was first thing in the morning).

Given this data is critical to training readiness, etc - how do I get this corrected?
