UK serial?

Hi all,

Just wondering if there is a way to tell if the 265 I have is a UK or Rest of the world version?

I bought it directly from Sportshoes.com in the UK - I have bought Garmin from amazon in the past and have been sent ROW variants and had to return them.

Is there a way to tell from the serial?

my 254 starts with 7W ?

265 bought recently in USA starts with 7W

On devices with on-board maps (955 for example) I can see a difference between a US and UK versions (what maps are loaded), but as the 265 doesn't anything like that may be location dependent, I think it really doesn't matter.

I spoke to Garmin and they stated:

"It is returning a result of Forerunner 265 Europe.
This would therefore be a UK device as we are part of EMEA (Europe, Middle Ease & Africa)"

I guess it's fine then!

Reason i asked was because i have been sent NON EU variants in the past and they had issues updating.
