HRV dropping fast

Since I purchased the forerunner my HRV is dropping like a stone in about 6 weeks or so and I am so confused.
I have never once been balanced.

my sleeping 7 day average HRV started out at around 60 for the first week

Since then the following weeks have been

58, 55, 53 ,51,49

I also take a snapshot first thing when I wake and that is still staying around the 75 mark and isn’t really decreasing.

my wife works in cardiology so I asked her to speak with a consultant who has said I shouldn’t be concerned. I’ve recently had a ECG and a halter and I’m in good shape physically.

im starting to feel that this watch is going to cause me more stress than good . It’s so frustrating as it’s suggesting I have some sort of issue going on.

Is there any other experiences of this please ?

  • Mine is also well into the low area after I had covid last week. It doesn't matter much for me, as I don't really care about the training status.

  • Have used the watch for more than a year, and yeah I remembered I have my HRV plummet about last year and took FOREVER for baseline to adjust. (Just checked and that was on May so maybe not the same problem)

In the last 3 days, my HRV 7 day average also went from month-long balanced, down to unbalanced and now low.

    Average is usually 65, the most recent days are 63 62 59 58 55 54 53

  • Guys for those of you who have observed a drop in HRV these past few weeks, has it been accompanied as well with a drop in sleep scores ?

(I think it would be very hard to have one without the other - although technically possible).

  • The funny thing with hrv is: the mouthbreathing isn't necessarily the issue but doing a intervention i.e. by a mouthtape can fix it psychologically :)

I agree to some extent. I've had this watch for almost a year now and it made me realise a number of things and make lifestyle changes which I believe are highly benegicial to my health.

    But

It is undeniable that my life before the watch was MUCH simpler LaughingJoy!
