Software updates (in the Netherlands)

Hi all,

Since I’m very happy with my forerunner 255 (looks great too!) I’m always very eager to update new firmware versions.

So I “often” check for new versions. But unfortunately I often see new versions on this forum being released which take quite a while to be available on my Garmin connect (or express on laptop for that matter).

Why is it that for example now, 8 days after the rollout started, i still can’t update?

Is this dependent on the location or are there other reasons?

Maybe I’m spoiled using Apple products but they release updates worldwide at the exact same moment..

Many thanks for any information on this. And ofcourse it’s not a rant I love my Garmin and that’s why I want the newest best version :)

There actually is an update available now on Garmin Express. So I finally have it. Still wonder why Garmin Connect still won’t show the update.

It takes ages for me to get these updates as well. I've still not got it and it isn't available on Express for me in Ireland.

I have just checked on Garmin Express and it is still not available for me either. Thats almost two weeks now, I am wondering if I will ever get this update or will it just jump to the next...

Same for me. However, judging from the reports, it seems supper buggy and that is probably the reason why they stopped the rollout. Probably better to skip this update entirely.

I think you’re right. Judging from all the reactions about not being able to download it its probably “deliberate”.

23 days ago the update was live according to the message on this forum. And still no update. I mean come on. Garmin at leaste write us an update (pun intended) if there is anything wrong with it.

I got mine only yesterday and it was a watch update. This was well after the post had 100 % rollout.

Mine is working ok, but it's bad that it only came weeks after they said it is available. People should be able to get from day 1 through garmin express
