Forerunner 255 Series Missing 5% Backlight Option on Watch

I don't recall ever having the 5% option. Also, there is no 4 second option like on the Instinct.

I also noticed the missing 5% option. Lost a day of battery life with the 10%.

Its the same on 12.27 (only in 10% increments)

Mine is currently set to 5%, but if I wanted to change it, there is no 5% option anymore.

i contacted Product Support and they said they would pass along my suggestion to the product team.it's strange that they made this change. 5% is much nicer on the eyes late at night. the change to 10% is very noticeable when in bed and i woke my wife one night because 10% was much brighter.

Great . One wonders why anyone even spent one second of time making a decision to change / remove such an option , especially when there are more important issues to address!

Exactly. that and the introduction of bugs that didn't exist in prior versions.
