Back to back long runs? Just got my watch and it suggested 1 hour run yesterday, and today it is suggesting 1 hr, 20 min. I run on average only 12 miles per week. I know it says I need more easier aerobic training, but this seem excessive.

Back to back long runs?

Suggestions appear to be disconnected from actual performance.

    Seems to be

Saturday was 3 hours @ 70% of Max HR

Sunday was 3 hours @ 70% of max HR

Monday was 76 minutes of which 1x 56 minute interval @ tempo (85% of Max HR)

    Tuesday was 80 base

    Wednesday was 80 minutes base

    Thursday was 80 minutes base

So in 6 days, that is nearly 11 hours of suggestions!

Tomorrow is intervals again, 6 @ about 1.6x my cycling FTP

Saturday I have an actual race on, 25k hilly trail run with about 3.5k feet of elevation.

I am guessing Sunday should suggest a rest day, but who knows?!

There is a major bug since 12.20 which is throwing off training statistics and likely suggested workouts. There is a thread about it which is easy to find. Garmin has opened a ticket on it. For now, the best you can do is turn off suggested workouts and use your own judgment.
