Hello I have read some post about HR spikes. In the past months I had a HR spikes while in my long run sessions. in my last workout, after one hour of race, I saw an unexpected rise in my heart rate, I wasn't running faster nor running up a hill, just my HR went up, this is annoying because I know that I had no changed my running pace. I am starting to lose the confidence in my watch readings.
How can I know if the problem is related with the battery, maybe it is not in a good condition anymore? Should I upgrade my garmin? I don't want to reset the watch to the default settings because I am going to race in three weeks and I don't want to lose the calibration data.
I would really appreciate any feedback or recommendations. Thank you.
PD. Thanks to the running data of my Garmin I have learned so much about my running style and I am very grateful l for that.
