I've used Jeff Galloway's 10K running program a few times and generally like it (although it is not for wimps). I've used Greg MacMillian's program once (though I don't recall that one as well, I have a positive sense of it though). I've tried Amy Parkerson-Mitchell program once before and it didn't work (every run would be the same run of 3 miles). I figured it was a bug. Anyway, last week I decided to try Amy's program again and I'm experiencing a similar issue. The first 3 runs were "easy runs" of distance 3, 4, 3 miles respectively. I just looked at the schedule this week and it's 3, 2, 4 easy runs, and TBD on Sunday. Before the program started I was running upwards of 16-18 miles a week, so it's no like I'm at ground zero. There is no challenge, clear objective or flavor to this program if in fact it is working as it's suppose to.
Is this a recognized experience for any of you? Left me my own, I'll cancel this program and go back to Galloway.
