I have the 245m, updated software, powered on and off, updated all aspects of the watch but heart rate not recording.

I have a 245 Music and the heart rate sensor doesn't seem to be working. I have tried all sorts of solutions, not sure if this is a hardware of software issue..

  • I started having this same issue at the start of June. It initially started with not tracking while sleeping and now it is sporadic. I have not found any solutions. I have soft and hard reset the watch and checked the updates and nothing has worked.

  • This probably won't be of much help but things that come to mind.

Do you see the green light for the HR sensor light up on the back side of the watch

When you're wearing the watch, if you have the default screen set to display HR, does it ever drop out? If it does, that I'd think it would be more of a hardware issue, if it never drops out but doesn't record then I think it would be more of a software issue.

Probably not germane, but how full is the memory? If you haven't done it;with a USB cable connected you can explore the activities folder in the watches memory and cut activity files from the watch and paste them into a computer folder, freeing up the watches memory.

If it looks like the HR sensor is working and recording is the only problem, it would be a long shot but you might try turning off and back on the HR sensor. (Middle left key hold, scroll down to wrist Heart Rate, normal status is "Auto" selecting it will allow toggling the status of the sensor)
