How do I disable the 8% heart rate alerts?

Recently my watch started giving an 8% heart rate notification at each mile instead of pace alerts. I didn't make an changes, it just started one day. It doesn't matter how far or hard I run, it is always 8%. The heart rate alert is not even on and I've tried a factory reset with no luck. I really just want my pace alerts back. Anyone else run into this and know how to resolve?

I have the same issue on my epix pro. I feel like I’ve tried everything to no avail. Saw another person post on reddit with no way to fix either. It’s completely ruining my favour for Garmin. This needs a fix asap

I am also getting the same problem with a brand new 255S - would love a solution! Can only hope the next software upgrade fixes it, but am getting increasingly annoyed at it every time.

So, I've got it to work... I rang Garmin support - they told me to backup my data then hard reset the device deleting all settings and data. Once I did this, I then hard to forget the device in my phone settings and in garmin connect. Once I did this and paired the device again it started working and everything was back on the device (minus spotify, garmin pay had to be set up again, and it forgot one or two other small things but got it all back and it's all working again :). I did panic slightly as it took a while for the data to load on the device and it was showing that basically all my data was reset as if it was a new device but i think it just took a while for the backup to load. I will give it a try! I had tried the Reset Default Settings but wasn't brave enough to do a full delete and restore. When I contacted Garmin their resolution was to turn off all notifications, sync, and turn them back on. It didn't work, lol.
