Countdown timer not setting time.

I am having trouble with the countdown timer. It seems to be not setting the time. I follow the instructions (below). However after setting the time, and confirming, the time I see is 0:00. No matter how many times I've tried, I still see 0:00. Is this some sort of glitch, or am I using it incorrectly. Many thanks.

Starting the Countdown Timer

From any screen, hold LIGHT.
Select Timer.

NOTE: You may need to add this item to the controls menu (Customizing the Controls Menu).
Enter the time.
If necessary, select an option:
- Select > Save Timer to save the countdown timer.
- Select > Restart > On to automatically restart the timer after it expires.
- Select > Sounds, and select a type of notification.

Hi 3362068!

After you select Timers, you'll have the option to set the amount of minutes. If you want to set an hour or longer, press the BACK (bottom right) button. You'll use the middle and bottom left buttons to scroll up or down on the numbers. After you set your hour or amount of minutes, press the top right button. It will move to the "Seconds" option, and you can scroll up or down on those numbers as well. Press the top right button and you'll see a green checkmark. Press the top right button again. Then, you should see a screen with the amount of time you set. You'll press the top right button to start the timer. If you still see 0:00 after you set your time and see the checkmark, let me know.
