I’m working through Coach Amy’s half marathon plan right now with a goal of 1:58. I did the benchmark run to kick things off and everything seemed fine the first two weeks. A time trial was given to me in Week 3 which I thought was a little odd, but I did the workout to progress the plan. I ended up PRing my mile time by 40 seconds which surprised me. When I went back into the schedule, I noticed that none of my distances or paces changed on my upcoming runs (the ones held back until I completed the time trial) and the plan scheduled another time trial for a week after this one. I thought that was odd since I was under the impression that time trials should be maybe monthly at most.
What is going on here?
Is there a way to skip the time trial and still continue the plan or do I have to start over?
