Extreme battery drain since update to 13.00 (e80dcb4)

I noticed more battery drain, too.  A one year old battery should have a better performance than that.

Any news regarding this? no feedback from a garmin representative?

I still have to charge my watch 1-2 times a day. 

Glad that my 245 doesn't have to be charged so often but I noticed a significant decline of battery life during activities. And after a reboot or a short plug into the charges after an activity the battery level increases 3-5%. I guess that there won't be an update to fix the problems. Garmin wants us to buy a 255 or 265...

I downloaded v13 on 31/10 and since then having GPS on for an hour drains 30% battery. Prior to the update it would drain around 10%. This is really bad news as it means doing a weekend long run cannot be tracked unless fully charged before heading out. Background drain without GPS is also significantly higher than before. From 10% per day to now 20% per day.

Battery usage in smartwatch mode is okay, but with a GPS activity... 13% for 35 minutes and 5 minutes waiting at the start. Is the battery really worn out after 1 year?

Still no response from a Garmin representative, if you are going to have a beta software program please also support it. If you dont have the possibility to roll back firmware please adress the issues ASAP. 

Just getting worse, my battery were at 100% at 10AM and is now at 2:30PM at 15%.

I have been in contact with the Swedish support and their solution is to send it for repair, i dont understand how the battery can have gone from great (5-7 days) to not even a day just because i enrolled to the beta software program. 

A quick update after my earlier post (25% drain per 10km run after v13 software update versus 10% drain per 10km prior). Garmin wouldn't replace BUT when I noted some pixels also had failed (perhaps coincidentally but also after the update) they immediately offered me a refurbished watch. It arrived and I have just done first 10k with it on v13 and it is exactly the same draining 22/23% oiver a 10km run. I have let them know but don't hold out much hope of any admission the software update is causing it. Just hoping for a fix in the next update ...

I hope it can be useful. In my case, version 13 gives the following result. A little over an hour of “Track Run” with “GPS GLONAS” turned on - battery consumption 5.8%/hour, backlight control by gestures is disabled on the watch, a “battery widget” is installed, just to view battery consumption.

Especially backlight uses much power.
