I'm currently training for a marathon and I'm following a programme in the app. Tonight I did a treadmill run but it doesn't appear to count towards training as my "easy run" is still waiting for me to complete. Is this normal?
I'm currently training for a marathon and I'm following a programme in the app. Tonight I did a treadmill run but it doesn't appear to count towards training as my "easy run" is still waiting for me to complete. Is this normal?
You can definitely do run training on a treadmill, but there is a bit of a trick to setting it up.
If you simply select treadmill and run on it for 30 minutes, it won't know to apply it to the training program. You need to:
- press the top right button to get the list of activities
- select Treadmill
- press the middle left button to get Options
- select Workouts
- select Training
- select Training Calendar
- select Today - Easy Run (or whatever your run of the day is)
And then start the run as you would normally, except you don't need to wait for GPS lock.
I regret there is no retroactive way to tell the watch to apply a competed workout to the program, but you'll know for next time.
