Garmin 245 Open Water Swimming Yes or No ?

Can someone explain in a clear way if I can swimm in open water with 245 music?

Need application or not ? Or not cappeble. This can be very clear answer but anywehre on the net this dada is clear as far as I have seen.

watch is capable in open water base on my experience. no garmin activity profile therefore you need to download an application. i find swim trainer app useful. gps is not that good,
