Is there a maximum allowable pause time for biking?

Hi there, 

First time caller here.  Looking everywhere but no one seems to know the answer:  is there a maximum length to the pause function on rides for this model watch?

I'm doing my first 50+ ride tomorrow and we plan on stopping for lunch halfway.  I'd really like to know if the "allowable pause" is beyond 30-45 minutes.  

Anyone know for sure?  Anyone tested it?

    Yes, it's possible to pause for a long period of time, but after about 30m (maybe less, I didn't measure) it will vibrate and ask you to stop and save the activity, showing a 30s countdown before auto-saving. You can cancel the timer, and it will stay on pause for another 30(?) minutes.

    If you plan a long pause, there is a "resume later" menu item when the activity is paused. If you choose it, the activity will be saved with a possibility to resume, and the watch will switch to its default screen. To resume the activity, just push the start-stop button.
