I started a 10km Coach Plan with a target Time of 1h. The Trainer is Jeff Galloway, I am now in week 10 of 14.
I am strongly wondering about the training program in these weeks. This weekend I have to some speed runs with 18 (eighteen) Intervall of 800m with a pace of 5:35-5:28/m followed by 3min recreation. With warmup an the other parts (Acc Glider etc) this will be a distance of approx 22km.
Last week it have been 16 Intervalls (19,2km overall).
Wednesday next week (week 11 of the plan) I have to do an easy run of 24km which I will hardly manage.
I have got the feeling that the training does not fit to my goal, the distances are to long. As if the algorithm behind the plan calcs with a different goal.
ANy Ideas how I can fix this?
