Forerunner 245 - Battery draining more quickly recently

I've had my Forerunner 245 for about about 2.5 years and never noticed issues with battery life. I can't quantify with specific percentages and days, but over the last week or so, it seems like the battery is draining more quickly and I'm having to charge it more often. My wife feels the same about her Lily. I've powered the watch off and on with no change.

I'm wondering if this is due to a recent update. The software version is 12.10. I can't tell when the update was applied, but based on memory I'm guessing within the last 2 weeks.

Has anyone else noticed this behavior?

Hi, do you use "Battery Widget with automatic charge detection"? If not, I recommend trying it. I had no problems with 12.10, now I use 12.52 Beta, everything is fine with the battery too.

Update: I received an update last week, but can't remember the exact date. However the version still shows as 12.10 after the update. I fully charged my 245 last Wednesday and still have about a 20% charge. Before the update, my watch wouldn't hold a charge more than 3 days. Either the updated corrected my issue or something really weird is going on.

yesterday my software got updated to 12.10. Previously battery was running for 2-3 days after full charge, but after software update it quickly drains within 24h it remained 10% only. How to resolve this issue.

There have been lots of posts in the past with similar battery drain issues after an update, a number of them apparently were fixed by doing a power off power on, or a reset on the watch. If you try a reset back up your activity data first. No guarantees that either will solve your problem. Just posts I've seen while researching a different problem some time back.

Same here, a brand new 245 without music, then an automatic 12.10 update 12.53 and a stop/start seems to not help either.
