Running activity: Total distance not announced after each km

Why is Forerunner 245 Music not able to announce the total distance after each run km. It only announces "distance: 1 km". It is not helpful, I want to get the total distance after each km, so "distance: 1km", "distance: 2 km" etc.

I have only just started using the Forerunner 245 Music and have left the anouncements on default and it anounces "lap 1 ...then lap 2" and the laps are 1KM by default.
