Dodgy sleep data but seems to be an old unaddressed issue

I've recently purchased a 245 music and been wearing it a week now.  I've switched from a Fitbit Charge 5 as I was under the impression that Garmin were much better, and in some cases they seem to be as I love what the watch can do in terms of running/swimming tracking, watch faces, data fields, widgets etc and that I don't have to pay a subscription fee for certain data.

However, the sleep tracking on this thing does not seem any where near as accurate as my Fitbit.  I've been using Fitbit for about 5 years and my sleep is pretty stable so I'm aware of my usual stats.  I've been wearing my Fitbit as well as my 245 for the last few days after the 1st nights sleep stats on the 245 did not seem right at all.  I've added the difference in sleep stats below. The Fitbit is correct, I got up twice during the night to pee but the 245 has me awake for 1m.....and this is the same 1m every night for some strange reason.

The 245 has improved over the last few days as it's now starting to get closer with my deep sleep and this almost matches up with my Fitbit whereas the 1st and 2nd night had my at 0 and 2 minutes deep sleep.

The REM seems off as well so I think it's picking up my light sleep as REM a lot of the time.

I've done some reading and apparently this is a long ongoing issue that doesn't seem to have been addressed except for a better algorithm being used on some watches (Firstbeat - which is used for stress on the 245 but no idea if it's used for sleep tracking).

The Pulse Ox and Respiration readings on both devices are pretty much the same (very minor differences) and the HR on both devices matches my resting HR (39) so I'm happy the HR seems right.  I was hoping to stop using the Fitbit completely but I trust the sleep tracking more on that than I do on the Garmin just now.

Both devices also pick up my sleep/wake fairly accurately but even the Fitbit often require an edit.

Is this something that's just going be ignored or actually improved or are the old devices just getting forgotten about in regards to improvements?
