Music on the 245

I have been unable to connect my 245 to wifi to download my playlists. It pairs with my phone no problems but can not get music on my watch. I’ve watched all the YouTube videos and reread the manual!! Can anyone help?

Are you sure, that you own a Forerunner 245 MUSIC??

You know, there are two versions: 245 plain, which has no Wi-Fi and no Music storage. And the 245 Music, which has those two features.

Yes it’s definitely a 245 Music. It will play music while my phone is near but it will not download it into the watch. The website has stated I need 2g network but we only run on 5g. I’m so confused and a little frustrated mum currently training for a marathon and really wanting to use this as my music

Ok, I don‘t have a music version.
But by this you mean „2,4 GHz Wi-Fi“ and „5 GHz Wi-Fi“, right? This would be plausible, as a lot of „smart“ devices only can use Wi-Fi on the 2,4 GHz band.

If that is also true for the FR245 Music, you will need to use a Wi-Fi which has 2,4 GHz enabled - you can usually do that on the management page of your router/access point.
