dead pixels forerunner 245

Have some dead pixels on my watch about a week out of warranty.  Website doesn't recognise my serial number and tells me to contact helpdesk.  Help desk chat just told me to go and buy a new watch.  This seems to come up on the forums quite a lot, which model should I buy.

  • If garmin has service then they should take back the watch and provide you another at disount. It is not normal that watches die just after the warranty.

  • Sadly not.  I've seen the exchange tool but it isn't accepting my serial number and directs me to the help desk. When I get though to help desk they keep me watigin and then just say but another watch. It was £250 when I bought it so not  something I want to do every couple of years.
