Forerunner 245 11.6 really short bluetooth range with phone

Hi, I updated my watch in the last week, to 11.60 and thought nothing of it. However, I’ve recently realised that the Bluetooth connectivity of the watch has suddenly become awful. I can’t walk to the other side of the room without it disconnecting from my phone?

I’ve reset the watch, I’ve turned it on and off, I’ve disconnected from the app, I’ve reconnected the bluetooth in my phone settings, but nothing has improved it.

Any suggestions?

It’s very annoying. Garmin support have not been much help, advising me to restart and reset everything. But they have asked me to send through a log of the files on the watch. I hope they can figure out what’s going on

For what’s it’s worth, I reluctantly did a full reset and the Bluetooth issue is fixed

Ok, I was mistaken. Same problem going on. After I reset, the alert function was turned off so it was still disconnecting, but just I didn’t know it

I have problems with Bluetooth's short range (only 1 meter), and also the short range of ANT. Is it a watch issue or is it a matter of software? My software version is 12.10.

I asked support via Chat, they told me to update my iOS, and then ended the chat... i have about 2 inches of range

chatted with them again and they are fully blaming iOS
