Usually I sync the activity with the phone, then it shows up in GCM, and sometimes I need to click one more time at the top of GCM to the sync button.
And last week I had a ride where even that didn't help, the activity didn't show up in GCM no matter how many times I synced. Finally I resolved it by turning the watch off and on again, and then syncng.
