Is there a way to disable elevation correction by default?

If it is left on the elevation is incorrect by 50-100 meters. I always sync to strava which seems much more accurate, so it is not a problem with gps accuracy. If I turn correction off then elevation matches strava exactly.

  •   This is a screenshot from the Connect website. I have a fenix 6 which does have the barometer, the FR245 doesn't have it, so I don't know if you'll be able to find any setting to disable it. Even for fenix 6 I don't think I could enable it for all future workouts. Probably it can be disabled / enabled only manually per workout :(

  • Strava is correcting elevation as well.

Strava has more accurate mapping data? Or maybe Strava's elevation corrections is less accurate? Someone must have tested this against barometer data?
