In the past my FR always allowed me to charge in the middle of a running activity. This was great as it allowed me to do 24hr events by jus charging after about 12-15hrs.
Today I noticed that when I charge, the watch basically freezes, had no functionality until I unplug it. I tested to see if it would let me charge during an activity and it ended the activity without saving or pausing it as soon as I started charging.
I find this to be annoying and even a safety issue as it means I can't retrace my route via the path ran screen on a trail run activity.
Assuming this was changed in a recent software update.
1) which software update made this change?
2) is there a way to change a setting in the watch without going back to a previous software version?
3) was this done on purpose? Seems like it is a sneaky way to pressure consumers to upgrade to a more expensive watch.
