"features" not working

I'm getting really annoyed with the number of features that don't work properly on my FR245 music.

  • PacePro - today it froze during my first marathon event wouldn't even tell me the time. It rendered the watch useless.
  • "Race a Previous Activity" - gives nonsense data about how far ahead/behind i am during the run
  • Run Dynamics Pod - again reports nonsense data

I bought the FR245 specifically for these features and they simply don't work. I find it really frustrating that these issues remain through many software updates.

This is going to cost you customers!! 

If this isn't the right forum to report this stuff to Garmin then can you please point me to the correct place.

    Sleep tracking is also not working well.

    ... and the Spotify app is really slow to upload and often fails. I get that it's a 3rd party app but Garmin advertise it as a feature so I expect it to be reliable and good.

    These are the features we're paying for!!

    Agreed, when I bought the watch the 'Race a Previous Activity' was working fine and I used it several times. It ceased working along the way, and the suggested ways to solve it never worked for me. I'm curious to find out whether there are people for which it is still working, or that there are not many people using this feature.

    I currently run with a Stryde connected to it as well, for that gives me at least an accurate actual pace, maybe that has something to do with it as distance and speed data is fed by the Stryde. I don't know whether your 'Race a previous activity' was performed with the pod connected to it. I never bothered to test it without my Stryde, because both distance and pace is way more accurate (except when running on a track and using the 'Track Run' settings).

    But it is true, consuming Garmin software updates is like betting in a casino.

    Due to the GPS problems as mention in the other thread. I was doing some testing. While at it, I even thought lets race a previous race (broken for ages) and to my surprise it was working this time, I didn't start with more than one hour behind. I just did a few hundred meters of that race and it seemed to reflect reality. I also tried it with my S t r y d e connected and that had no effect, race an activity still worked fine.

    I'm now turning automatic updates off, and await feedback of those in the field who did update before taking the update.
