Hike activity?

Doing some of the Challange badges. One is 4hrs of hiking during the month. I couldn't see Hike as an activity so did a Walk but when finished and synced it doesn't show against the Hike challenge. I've copied the Walk activity and renamed it Hike. I have done a 30min Hike but when finished and synced it still doesn't show against the Hike challenge. Is their a Garmin Hike Activity for the 245 music? Thank you

    1. Hike was added to Fenix 6 in a recent update, but not to FR245. There might be a way to record hikes if you search for such app in CIQ (i haven't tried). That might give you the hike badge, but you'll need to try. I can tell you, that i had the opposite problem: i did a hike in Fenix6 and i lost a walking chellenge because as Garmin said when I reported it : walking is walking and not hike... Though it is a stupid misconfiguration bug as clearly the different bike activities don't have the same issue.

    Have you tried editing the workout in garmin connect and change the activity type to Hike?

    edit: If you don't want the extra step of editing the workout afterwards, I have become aware of IQ apps that can record activities on the watch of any type, one that work on 245 is Any Sport Pro.

    Have you tried what I suggest. Namely edit the workout in garmin connect and change the activity type to Hike? Copying walk activity and renaming it Hike, as OP did, is not enough to make it an Hike activity. To avoid the stop of changing type afterwards I have since come aware that there exist apps that can record any activity type, one that work on 245 is Any Sport Pro.

    Hi there, I thought I had attempted this or for another scenario but turns out I hadn't (I think I just did renaming as OP), because editing activity type worked! Thanks for your persistence with posting the response a second time and giving alternative option in case would not work :)
