Distance displayed on screen is incorrect while running.

I am new to Garmin products and have a question about distance recording. While running the distance displayed on screen is incorrect but at the end of my run i get the correct distance. Could this be a problem with my watch or is just that i haven't correctly setup my warch.

Check which units you are using in system settings on the watch.

Are you using the original Garmin Running App, or a third party app from move IQ Store?

I am asking, because we had a similar discussion where someone and he was using a third party app, while I always use the Garmin app(s) and never had those problem

I'm using the Garmin running app. I't has happened both times I have used the watch to record distance, once for a walk and the other was for a run. The next time I go out I'll keep an eye on it.

That was it, i hadn't set the unit for distance correctly. Thanks
