Unknown symbol during start up.

Hello there,

I am using a 245 Music and it keeps showing this weird symbol when I turn it on. Below what looks like a cog wheel is what looks like a loading bar though it does not seem to load, but instantly dissappears when the watch turns on.

Can anyone tell me what this means and how to ge rid of it? I have already talked to garmin support, but the only advice they had for me was to connect the watch to my PC via Garmin Express and do an update which I did without any change. Thank you

Watch is just updating nothing more. connecting tot GE is far more better with the FR245

But it does that every time I turn it off and back on. Even though I have updated it several time with GE as well as the Garmin Connect App on my phone. Can it really be that it has to update every time it is turned on?

no that is not normal

check in the watch your software version to be sure you have the latest on the watch

Latest version 9.0 is the one I have on the watch

My Fenix 6 has been doing the same. I've connected it to my laptop and it's got the most recent software so not sure why it's still doing it. It's very frustrating.

Latest version 9,60 and symbol still the same. What to do?

Don't keep turning it off and on for starters.

I've got a Fenix 6 too, and mine also suddenly started to do this. I've been in contact with customer service here in Norway, but have only got a dumb-ass reply from them so far (they wanted me to believe that the watch is installing an update). My guess is that there is a bug somewhere in the system, but unfortunately we can't expect much help from Garmin...

On the other hand, it seems that this is something that affect a lot of different Garmin devices, so perhaps they are forced to do something sooner or later :-)
