Inaccurate Abnormal High HR Alerts

I have gotten three of these alerts now in the last few weeks, always around the same time of day - 8:45 A.M. - and always entirely inaccurate. My watch starts chirping to tell me that my heart rate is north of 180BPM (it's not...I'd be dead).

Is this a known issue? It's really annoying. I'd turn the feature off, but I kind of like knowing that my watch is collecting wildly wrong heart rate data.

I have since figured this out and can reproduce it. I'm a person that will often shake their leg habitually when sitting at my desk. Depending on where my arm is when I drop into this habit, it can trigger…

None that I know of, never seen that in my data. I reviewed a lot of my days after your post, but never had that.

What are you doing at that time? Maybe something that could influence the sensor?

Hi stress stuff...sitting at my desk in the home office all three times now. :)

Hmmm, then maybe a hardware issue?

I would suggest to contact Garmin support directly. Would not expect that somebody can help you here in the forum.

I have since figured this out and can reproduce it. I'm a person that will often shake their leg habitually when sitting at my desk. Depending on where my arm is when I drop into this habit, it can trigger wildly incorrect heart rate data that is roughly the frequency of the leg shake. Good times! Also seems to count steps in the right position. Mystery solved.
