GPS started dropping first 1-5km of run ( GPS worked without issue in same spots before)

GPS not recording for first 1-5km (it seems to vary) of run. Its recorded runs in the same spot without issue for around a year so why is it dropping at the starting km or so now?

Its an urban area with no clear GPS blockers and I check the watch before setting off and all appears well. Metrics for the rest of the run look spot on.

I'm having a similar problem. It was recording GPS (i.e. tracking a map) in January 2022, but the last two times I've been out walking it only records distance, even though my watch said it had acquired GPS at the start of the walk.

Interesting Brisk Walker, altbough must confess I don't know how to check the CPE, can you point me to where I can find this?

Settings => System => About => 15th page (the last one)

Mine says 'Current', and I only use Garmin Connect (Android) to sync.

JimmyFL ah okay, wow, didn't even knowb this info existed!! I'm on Andoid too and sync pretty regular without obvious issue. My watch states that the CPE as 'Missing', which doesn't sound great. Do you know how can I find it, so to speak?
