How to follow fitness workouts tutorials/instructions?

Hi everyone!
I've been using my Forerunner 245 for 1.5 years and have gone through a few Garmin Coach training. Now I'm following a Half Marathon training plan, which also includes some cross-training, body conditioning, cardio, yoga, and pilates exercises.
The first issue here is that they are not "concrete" workouts. I can't open them from my phone/watch, but can only see them on the calendar. Is this the correct behavior?
Thus, I tried then to build my own, or to use those that are already there, e.g. those in the Workout section. The second problem here is that with my F245 I can't have the animated workouts on the screen, so... How do you handle that? I'm quite a newbie so I don't know the positions by their name...
And by clicking on a specific workout, I can only view detailed instructions of every pose (also on my phone), but I need to press NEXT every 10-30 seconds. So the third question is: how do you handle that? Isn't there a way to have a sort of continuous carousel, like many other apps do (see Nike Training Club, etc.)?
Thanks so much for your help!
  • hi, just put together a custom workout, for example Strength, set a timer for every step, like 30 sec, and write a note to each step in the app (there is an option for that)

When starting the workout on your watch the notes are being shown (like Push Up, Stretch Hip, or whatever you wrote as a note) and the step will move on after the time you set before (30sec or whatever)

I do it this way and dont need animations, the note is enough for me
