sleep and body battery question

I use the FR645 which has no body battery while my wife has the fr245 which has body battery. She never wears her FR245 at night so sleep traking is not an issue for her.

However, I thought I might like the body battery concept so I have worn her watch the last 2 nights for sleeping. It is on her account so I synced wih her GArmin Connect. However, I do not get any sleep or body battery results.

Do I have to turn on a setting that is possibly off, or is sleep and bb working at the moment?

TIA.

  • If you're concerned about flying with a pilot who has restless moment during eight hours spent in bed, then you should probably never take commercial air travel. I am the chief pilot at my company, so yes, I track my sleep times by looking at my phone (I don't think the watch has an option to display hours of sleep). My job includes ensuring pilots have adequate undisturbed time for sleep, and understand their responsibility to do use it.  I am unaware of any company collecting sleep tracker data from pilots. If they did and had to abide by it, there would be a lot of cancelled flights.

  • The sensors are the same and the phone app is the same, so I don't see why the output would be different. Why would Garmin run two different algorithms in the background? On the watch itself, I get it, there may be limitations or licensing issues, but there is no sleep widget as far as I can see.

In other words: are they deliberately being wrong?
