Music stops at each mile

I'm playing music through my phone.  Phone and watch and headphones are connected through Bluetooth.  Every time I hit a mile lap, the music stops and I have to get out my phone and manually restart it.  I assume it has something to do with the lap notification.  What's going on?

  • I have also started having this problem in the last 1-2 weeks. I tried turning off lap notifications on my Garmin which did not solve the problem

  • I had the same issue pop up in the last few weeks out of nowhere. Turning off prompts didn't not resolve the issue for me either. I also experienced it with multiple music apps on my phone. However, I installed the 8.20 firmware update this morning and the issue seemed to be resolved. At each lap, the pause did not occur. I tried to turn on audio prompts mid-run to see if the lap time would announce and not pause the audio, but the setting did not sync mid-run. I'll have to try it tomorrow.

  • I can confirm the problem no longer exists for me after the 8.20 update. All audio prompts come through my ear buds and the music does not pause. When I have alerts turned off, there is no longer a pause either.

  • Thank you. Mine is resolved as well
