Forerunner 245 lapping time after each hour

Hi,

I am Forerunner 245 user. I bought the watch in August 2021 and since than I am facing one issue. After 1 hour of activity, there is a small superscript numerical 1 with appears next (before) the time filed, and the counter starts again from zero.  Example: 10:12. Can some help me understand and correct the issue as I do not want to lap the hours’ time after each hour and want to see the complete time of the work out example 2:32:00 (HR:Minutes:Seconds)

Regards,

Barinder

  • The small number is not a lap number. It's simply the kind of display you want, only the hour number is in smaller font. This is intentional, and there's nothing you can do about it, if it bothers you.

  • Hi, appreciate your response, thanks! But I am still doubtful as my fellow runners using the same watch don’t get their time filed data like this and it works like a normal timer. Any thoughts?

    Hello Barinder,
Your friend may be using a different data field.

But you do know that if you make the hour as big as the minute too, the total time display gets smaller.
The display is just normal as it is, and it's easy to read.
I think it's really good that way.
Believe me, it is a normal timer. Slight smile

  • Hey Max! thanks for your response and I trust your knowledge on this. I am just wondering what different data filed/setting my friend must be using. The timer was in the middle row of his watch, Do you know how to make the hour also as big as the minutes? (I am okay with the smaller display) Damm! Sometimes these simple things seem so complex Blush

    Thanks again!

  • Hello Barinder,

I am just wondering what different data filed/setting my friend must be using. The timer was in the middle row of his watch,

It would be helpful if you would post a photo of it.
    I actually can't believe it.

There is no default display for your wish.
Simply because from 10:00:00 it is really tight on the display and this long sequence of numbers must be made very small.
But you can search for extra IQ data fields in the Conneqt IQ Store. There are, as I have roughly surveyed, 2 or 3 solutions.
Visually, however, they are really not that great.
And actually I see no need for it.
