Watch stuck on lap split during running activity - reset necessary

Hi,

Second time this has happened (first time was almost a year ago): during a running activity with auto laps being taken, the watch freezes on the split screen and doesn't recover. I resolved this during my run by resetting the device.

Some details:

  • Happened after 19 km (so the 19th auto lap split)
  • I was following a workout
  • Course navigation was on
  • No pace pro
  • No music playing
  • No device connected via bluetooth

The good news:

  • the first part of my run was saved correctly (up to the point where the device hung).

The bad news:

  • My running activity screens were reverted to the default ones (other profiles were not affected)
  • Took 1 km to get a new activity going (very slow GPS fix, I assume the offline data was cleared by the reset?)
  • The obvious one: not something you wan to deal with at the end of a long run ;)

Is this a known issue? I'm willing to provide more details should this help identify the root cause.
