The question is, whether the 245 is not able to track open water swimming or whether that feature is reserved to the more expensive Garmin watches.
There’s a third party app for that on Connect IQ which works perfectly. Edit: I use Swimming App Professional. However its known topic that F245 may not be capable of precise GPS readings when your hand is going from and under water.
