Silicon Charger Port Protector - use it or not?

Hello!

Since I got my FR 245 I have been using one of that silicon charger port protectors.

But, every time I have to charge my watch I notice that there is some "green rust" over the connector pins.

So, I was wondering, is it better to keep the charger port without the silicon protector?

Tks for any ideas about it...

Hi, I have never tried such port security even on previous watches. I use only water/soap and blow in to the pins, that's it. No rust.

Ditch the covers. I had the same issue on my 935 until I stopped using them. They trap moisture and prevent evaporation causing corrosion on the pins.

Never used the covers on 4 different watches and never had an issue with corrosion. Quick wash under water and dry after exercising and that's it.
