The hydratation widget is not available as standard?

I am using my Garmin FR245M for a week now and I am very happy, but I can't see the hydration widget on my watch.

I've already tried to display it via 'Edit Widget List - Add Widget' https://www8.garmin.com

Imanuals/webhelp/forerunner245/EN-NUGUlD-61 C825F5-5D80413F-BA3F-CD8C51 BB63F2.html

The Hydration widget will then not be in the list. What to do?

  • Thanks, this helped me in one second :-)

do you let it tell you how long to rest before exercising again? Do you let it tell you how well you slept? Do you let it tell you what to do based on suggested workouts?

Nope, I don't.  Never have, never will.  I know my body better than anyone on the planet.  I don't require anyone or anything to tell me when or how to workout, eat, drink, sleep, rest, etc.

  • I don't really get the point of the sleep widget either tbh or the body battery as I know when I am tired. I don't need the training status either because I know how many miles a week I can run. But at least that is interesting to see and see trends. Comparing training to a basic need of the human body, you can train smarter but you can't piss smarter or drink smarter your body is always going to know best when it comes to its needs.

  • I agree that some of the features (hydration, sleep, body battery) are rather gimmicky. Unfortunatly not everyone has the sense to listens to their body. I believe for those folks a widget can be of some help.

  • You have probably already discovered this but once you install the widget from Connect IQ, all you need to do is press the 'up' button to get to the widget (unless you moved the widgets around).

It will also remind you to log your fluid intake and you will also notice that your daily goal will change based on your activities, which is a nice feature.
