Garmin not recognizing 2km of my run activity

Hi there,

did my run activity today as I usually do, but the Garmin Fit File evaluation is far off.

In the attached image you can see on the Cadence to Distance Graph, that it tracked over 12km of distance.
But in the official "Distance" Measure below, it says it is only 10.42km. I have my Garmin connected to Strava, there it interprets the run as 12.39km.
It also tracked me via GPS on the map perfectly, so that worked.

Garmin is somewhere losing almost 2km and that has to be on the last ~4km.

I had the last 30 minutes as 1 Lap, this is what it shows me in the Lap/Interval part

The 13:53 being pace in min/km which is impossible if you few the Pace to Distance Graph above.

Is there anything I can do to get the correct values? Will the actual support be able to get something done?

I also tried deleting the automatic sync, getting the file from my watch and uploading it manually, but the outcome is the same.

Garmin gets it wrong but it works on Strava.

  • I realized that I can edit the Activity manually to some value I assume is correct, but there has to be a bug somewhere, because in the Graphs everything works, just not on the overall stats which I assume gets its Data from the sum of all laps, which is where the root of the issue is, the last lap giving wrong stats.
