Jaybird Vista and FR 245 Music connection issues

Having read a number of threads regarding this issue it would seem that Garmin either are not answering or do not have a solution?

I wish I had read some of these forums prior to purchasing the Garmin 245 and Jaybird buds together. Having had them now for 3 weeks the constant disconnection issues are becoming to problematic to continue using the Garmin 245 FR.

Of the 2 items the Jaybird Vista earbuds blow Garmin out of the water with regards to performance. Such a shame as Garmin purport to be such a high quality product??

Where is the support on this issue? I have spent nearly $500 dollars on this product and there are ongoing issues with connectivity?

The whole reason I bought the FR245 "Music" was so I could listen to music when I exercised. This is now a massive failure of the product and according to the forums this has been on going for some time with the Jaybird Vistas and connection issues.

Is there a solution in the pipeline ? as I note that the latest software update (7.1) to FR 245 Music do not seem to deal with the issues

  • Garmin do not seem to care. This issue has been around for months. It cannot be hard to fix - BT headphones connect to every device known to man. Latest 7.2 firmware arrived and it still drops out after 30 secs. They dont even bother to say they are trying to fix it anymore.

Instead of stupid new features they need to make the basics work - a 245Music without a functional BT interface is a pointless purchase.

Would somebody from Garmin have the guts to turn up on a forum and explain themselves ?

  • I contacted Garmin and they said that Jaybird is not a compatible headphone with the 245 music when I said my Vista's are constantly disconnecting after update 7.2

    Getting beyond a joke.
