How to transfer all data and settings from an old Forerunner 245 to a new Forerunner 245?

This is a few years old but still applies. Just ignore the bits about "map backup" since there are no maps on the 245 - Hard reset, firmware reinstall, data location and backup!

Of course it's up to you, but It's not normally recommended to move all data and settings to the new watch, as this could invite issues. All activities should already be stored on Garmin Connect and not necessary to move move to the new watch.
