Split pace (per mile) in Forerunner 245?

I’m less than 24 hours new with my Forerunner 245. I haven’t found an answer for my question. Does FR 245 break down you run pace into each mile? For instance if I’m using Map My Run, it will give you current time, current mileage, average pace and split pace for that mile. Does FR 245 give that information? (Even afterwards is ok with me).

  • you need to set the options in the run activity.

Open Run> Press up for options> Auto Lap

once you turn this on, you will get an alert every mile with your average pace and garmin connect will also give you lap splits on every mile.

on the app its the third tab with the looping arrow

  • thank you!  That was very helpful.  I have set it up and will try it out in a little while.

  • You can also view that data live if you go to run, hold the middle left button to go til you see run settings, press the top right button, then select data screens. Form there press the top right button to edit your first screen, (you can have a few data screens set up). Select layout which will allow you choose how the data is formatted. Once you have your layout, then select Data Fields, use your up and down arrows to change which field is blinking, once you've selected the field you want press the top right button. From there scroll using the bottom left button until you see pace fields, hit the top right button, then scroll to lap pace.

Lap pace will give you an average of the lap you are currently in. For instance if you have run 2:01 for .25 miles, and the watch will tell you you are running 8:04 pace.
